Chiru Whipper - Technical Trail
Frame Features & Specifications
The Whipper frame was developed for extreme flash-packing explorations in the highest alpine massif in North East Asia. Both very steep and culminating at nearly 4,000m, it is crossed by a network of very technical hiking trails involving an alternation of rolling sections and portages. These adventures require both a lightweight bike and geometry optimized for significant slope gradients, both up and down.
Designed around a 130 – 140 mm fork, the geometry of the Chiru Whipper makes it easier to navigate rocky terrain while offering formidable efficiency on the steepest climbs thanks to its 76.6° seat tube! The vertical comfort of the frame is obtained thanks to the ovalized rear chainstays combined with the lateral deformation stays. This Chiru design bias is synonymous with comfort and performance in power transmission. Chiru Whipper can accommodate 29 x 2.6” tires allowing its adaptability to rocky terrain with a low tire pressure setting.
